Count Everything, Everything Counts!

When you are concentrating on the number of fat grams you are eating it can become all too easy to overeat on fat free items. Especially when dealing with things that come in larger bags. The calories still count into the big picture. For example, I was thrilled to be able to munch on fat free pretzels. I would buy a large bag and I thought I was doing a good job of keeping track of the portions I was eating. Unfortunately, the scale said differently. So this week I took my pretzels and counted them out into little baggies so that I could better account for how many I was eating. It seems a bit fanatic but if I want to continue to loose weight I need to be consistently persistent in my healthy obsession! SO now I am no longer eating out of the big bags, everything is portioned out. This way of eating works as long as I work it correctly and accurately! Weighing and measuring out your foods take a few extra minutes but it keep you honest and in the know.
