Last week in our weight loss group we talked about attitude. I decided to search the internet to see what resources were out there. I came across a power point slide show that stated that attitude is not everything. That made me stop and want to see what this guy was talking about. He had 14 facts about attitude. I had to read through them all to see what he included.

But there were a few that really struck me:
#4 Your Attitude Can Not Change The Facts
I love that he pointed out the obvious. But we sometimes fool ourselves into thinking that if we just have a better attitude that the facts will change. You can have a good attitude despite the facts but the facts will be the facts.
#12 Change Your Attitude by Changing Your Thoughts
This is the center of what we try to deal with in our group. Our thoughts create feelings that create beliefs which in turn creates behaviors and lastly consequences. Change your thoughts and the pattern becomes altered.
The last thing I want to share is a quote by Fred Smith.
“You are the way you are because that’s the way you want to be. If you really wanted to be any different, you would be in the process of changing right now.”
